Until last year, when I took a sales job requiring a pick-up truck, I
drove a TR6 almost every day for years. I was also self employed, wore
golf shirts and shorts to work and it didn't matter how sweaty I got.
When I sold my business, I went to work in an office environment, suit
and tie. While I've never had a TR with air conditioning, I found that
I could not maintain an appropriate professional appearance, and had to
start driving my air conditioned van on those days when I had to dress
the part. I would much rather have driven my TR6 with A/C on full blast
with the top down. I believe it would be just enough cooling to take
the edge off. I once had a Camaro convertible with A/C. It was a joy
to drive top down with the A/C running, FWIW, I bought an A/C unit off
this list, but since I now drive the truck, I haven't installed it yet.
Now my wife wants it in her TR6!
