Thanks, everyone. I had been planning on insulating the floor - especially in 
the rear - to reduce noise and will now do it all around to reduce heat as 
well. And since I had planned on replacing the carpets at some point, I think I 
will do it sooner rather than later and check the tunnel at the same time.
 
Someone mentioned checking the trnasmission fluid level. I haven't got any docs 
that show how/where that is. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks.

understand why everyone calls the GT6 a 'hot box'. The other day I could smell 
what I thought was burning rubber. I think it was my shoes melting. What is it 
that makes it so friggin hot in the car? The tranny? The heater core? The 
engine itself? All of the above?....
