yes, i saw some pics of potters ride with "chine blades" underneath at 99
w.o.s. if he cut them off like you say, and then he subsequently crashed,
could there be a connection ??? - these chine blades underneath our car ARE
NOT STREAMLINING - thay are not a fairing or smoothing or any device
whatsoever which decreases the drag coefficient of the car. technically
they increase the drag by a miniscule amount, and technically our car will
go a little slower with them. THEY ARE A SAFETY DEVICE. let me get one
thing straight with the folks on our land speed forum and anyone at the
scta that cares. black radon engineerings number one priority is safety -
period. going fast is a secondary priority, and bagging a record is
tertiary at best. i am APPAULED that an entry with a somewhat different
safety component gets so much negative feedback. in todays age where you
can spill coffee in your lap and make millions, how do you think the state
of utah or the BLM will react if competitors are seriously hurt or killed
on the flats. would we get this much negative feedback if we showed up with
20 firebottles mounted in the car ?????- the scta rules do not say 20
firebottles are allowed in altered class - there is no difference here
folks - think safety if you want your grandchildren to actually race on the
flats and not just look at old photos of them.

doug @ black radon engineering
