I am curious as to why the SCTA does no set a minimum for an open record.
****************************************
SCTA-BNI had minimums for several years. In the 70s these were dropped to
promote entries the added again. With the advent of the USFRA's World of Speed
event and their two run to set a record format the minimums were again
dropped. The two run format was adopted by SCTA-BNI when the entry level was
up and the salt bad.

As discussed at least once a year, the Bonneville 200 MPH club is a separate
entity. If you have a problem with them contact them. John Wennenberger,
California Fritz & Brad Schiere can probably shed some light on the club's
membership requirements.

Minimums are in place in all open classes at El Mirage as the points system is
based on your speed vs.. the class record or minimum.
