As Tony pointed out - I am in Austin, TX, and have the setup you are talking
about. I have an early TR6 engine (or perhaps a TR250 - that question is
still up in the air) with a late head (post 1972), a massaged GT6 manifold
to fit the 175's, and then a set of K&N filters to give it as much air as
needed. It works fine - have not (yet) been too hard on the tranny :-) - and
I am keeping my fingers crossed. The engine was a surprise I found after I
bought the car (quite a nice one too), but the other changes (incl. the
manifold) were done while the car were in my possesion. To finish it off, I
have installed a set of race-headers (tubular) and a Monza exhaust - next is
probably rear bushings - and then a closer look at the breaks....(and then
perhaps an A/C ;-)!!)
