Terry,

You can't just redrill the frame, you actually would have cut on the frame to 
make the engine sit low enough.  The wider mount points on the TR4 engine won't 
fit down into the mount points on the TR3 frame. 

Switching the front plate is a three hour drill, besides, you could replace the 
front seal and insure the new engine doesn't throw oil all over the place and 
relace the timing tensioner!
