I too, find that certain individuals in Clubs can indeed be a pain and this
is probably a global problem? What does annoy me, is that certain people in
many UK clubs tend to set themselves up as *the unquestioned authority* on
whatever - and then upset others in the process. This has a knock-on effect
to the extent that those who are offended, promptly go off and start another
club! That's fine - but only for as long as there is a continuous stream of
new members for both clubs. What so few have seemed to learn is that the
vehicle parc is diminishing year on year and there isn't a continuous stream
of new members. All this serves to weaken the membership of the club that
*offended* and the *new* club isn't truly viable because it's so small. In
the end, both clubs may fail through diminished membership and subscription
income. I've seen this happen time and again in the UK - and I greatly doubt
we've seen the end of it yet.
