Well, what I do depends on when you ask! I have formal quals in
Aero Eng and Comp Sci.

I have been an aeronautical structures engineer specialising in composite
structures and FEM thereof.

I have been a research engineer in CAD/CAM and robotics.

I have been a computer science researcher in computer graphics (3D
modelling, rendering, animation, interaction), ran a research centre in
the same area. Taught Comp Sci, similar subjects.

Quit all above to buy a 100 acre farm on the edge of Melbourne. Here I
grow mega premium wine grapes for my own mega premium red wine
(Cab Sauv/Merlot/Cab Franc/Malbec) in two styles - Bordeaux and
St Emillion. Made 2 of 3 trial vintages, last trial in 2000, first
commercial
in 2001. Planted the vines in '94.

I am a share derivative trader, now using an automated system that I
developed using machine learning techniques. I was doing this manually
for 2 years on a part time basis, but part time isn't enough for
derivatives.
Besides it didn't leave enough time for vineyard and cars...

I race, rally, and motorkhana AH Sprites and MG Midgets. I have a bunch of
the suckers as well as a MGB GT and a Rover SD1. So you can see I am a
sucker for punishment!

My ages - physical 40, mental 17 (10 if you believe my wife!)

Mike
