OK, I can't resist any longer. Why do I feel like I'm being recruited by a
credit card company that wants to lowball me then suck me into some high
interest rate down the line?

Is this totally triumphs garage forum an attempt to replace the Triumphs
List? I did check it out and it has the look of a site that could
eventually start to charge us for this "service" once the Triumphs List dies
out (not that I think that's ever going to happen).

Skeptic that I am, I just have to wonder what the motive is for starting
another "list". THIS list serves our purposes very well and if I want/need
to search for Triumph information I can also go to listquest.com and get
scads of information...both for free.

I recognize the list is not perfect (I've gone off on rants about it and
I've was wrong then too) but it has made me a better Triumph owner, a proud
Triumph owner and I've met some of the best people in the world here. So I
will defend it to the end.

I don't like political discussions on this list anymore than Joe Curry does
and I think we should avoid them on the TRIUMPHS list (there's chat rooms
for political discussions if you want to indulge yourself, but believe me,
you don't want to hear my opinion on politics any more than I want to hear
yours).

Even so, I would much rather have this open forum (warts and all) than any
"moderated" forum that might eventually require me to pay for the same thing
that Mark Bradakis lets me volunteer to pay for.

Rant off. Nomex on.
